IRU General Delegate to Eurasia
Vadim Zakharenko serves as the General Delegate of the International Road Transport Union (IRU) to Eurasia, leading the organization’s Permanent Delegation in Moscow. In this role, he is responsible for fostering key external relations in the region, with a focus on dismantling barriers and advancing trade and transport facilitation through harmonization, United Nations instruments, and the development of certification standards to enhance the road transport industry. With academic qualifications in linguistics, public administration, and international relations, Vadim has also studied economics, trade facilitation, and diplomacy across Austria, Germany, India, and Singapore. His expertise spans transport, customs, and logistics, making him a key figure in shaping the future of global trade in the region.
