Alper Özel

Executive Director of the Association of Road Transporters of Turkey

Mr. Özel has been a key figure in the Turkish International Transporters’ Association (UND) since 2001, serving as Vice Chairman until 2017 and Chairman from 2019. He specializes in Total Quality Management and has contributed to business management and leadership literature in Turkey, co-authoring two books. A co-founder of the European Safe Logistics Association in Brussels, Mr. Özel is also an international transport expert at Boreas International Consult (Denmark). His global logistics involvement includes board membership in the Turkish British Chamber of Commerce and Industry and representation in organizations like the International Road Transport Union and the Black Sea Economic Cooperation. With professional experience in Germany, Switzerland, Canada, and Saudi Arabia, Mr. Özel is fluent in German, English, Turkish, and Russian. He holds an MBA, degrees in Slavic Studies and Business Management from Istanbul University, and further studies in International Marketing and E-Commerce at Aston American University.
