Hussan Bano Burki is a seasoned development professional with over 18 years of experience leading multi-million-dollar donor-funded projects in economic development, trade, logistics, and climate resilience. Currently serving as the Regional Trade Resilience Advisor for USAID's Trade Central Asia program, she manages a $24 million portfolio, fostering economic resilience across Central Asia through innovative trade and logistics solutions. Previously, as Chief of Party for USAID's Pakistan Regional Economic Integration Activity (PREIA), she extended the project’s scope, incorporating climate change risk mitigation and achieving transformative results in trade competitiveness. Known for her strategic leadership, she has successfully spearheaded gender mainstreaming initiatives, such as the Women in Trade program, enhancing women’s representation in trade policy and managerial roles. Ms. Burki holds professional certifications in Climate Change and Global Supply Chain Management from Cambridge and Wharton, respectively, and an MBA from Lahore University of Management Sciences.
